Day #36

Ugh, I think I'm taken sick. My throat hurts a bit and I've got a headache like all the time :( 


Friday: So on Friday Nathie and me went to Manhattan to see Ryan Leslie performin' @ Nokia Music Theatre (Broadway/Times Square). We met up at 7pm, sat on those huge red steps and just talked a bit and had some fun. Afterwards we had to get in line which was about through one block. Anyways we had a lot of fun and get to know some girls from the Bronx which we were partyin' with in the line :D
The Concert was amazing and I've had my best night ever in Manhattan.  Afterwards we just kept continuin' cruisin' through NYC. I'd love to tell you some more details but I think this would lead to trouble ;-)

I also made some videos but I'll update 'em at some point ;-)

On Saturday I just slept in and missed Kickboxin' class. I could kick up the backside for that 'cause I'm not able to take part on Monday as well. Anyways I really did not hear my buzzer and maybe it's good that I slept in 'cause I'm still feelin pretty morbid  this day. So actually I did nothin' special  and kinda stayed in bed all day. At night I. left to Asia and will be back in two weeks :( Therefore it's gonna be tough 2 weeks.

Yesterday, Sunday, Andrea picked me up 'cause we wanted to go to the movies to see Michael Jackson's This Is It!. But it was pretty sunny and we've had 68°F that we decided to go to Starbucks and just hang 'round. Afterwards we went to Andrea's had some YUMMIE chocolate cake and had noodles for dinner. At 8pm we went back to New Roc City and saw the Movie.

Today I met up with Annka at Omni. I think Monday's are not my days. The Children were pretty late (u see - I.'s missin'!) and when I went to the Gym I realized that I've forgotten my earphones (I hate workin' out without music!!!) -  anyways the way to Gym was horrible. American drivers can be soo stupid!!! There were some dumbasses that kept driving just in the middle of two lanes! Damn, I was soooo annoyed - I can tell you! ;-)

Tonight we're havin' our AuPair Meeting in the Galleria Mall @ White Plains. 're havin' a scavenger hunt. To be honest: I don't feel like it. Whatever. I'm just thinkin' 'bout buyin' some new Emu Boots. Just the plain caramel one's and 'round christmas I might buy a pair of the knitted ones :D

There are still sooo many things I'd like to buy as soon as possible:

• iPod Touch 
• purple Nike Airs 6.0 with leopard print (PICTURE)
• Caramel coloured Emu's
• Caramel coloured, knitted Emu:s (PICTURE)
• MacBook (have to get one for university anyways!)
• AND SO ON AND SO ON!

Since today's the 5th November it's a month ago since I entered the USA. wow. How time flies!


I may not have talked to you guys a lot but you need to show understanding. I am starting a new life; have to get to know the area, have to make new friends, have to become comfortable with all the new things here like my schedule, different roots, different rules, differenet whatever-it-is. Sure, it is exciting but on the other hand it is also demanding that I sometimes prefer just to rest and listen to some music then to turn my computer on and tryin' to find so. who is online and to whom I have not talked yet.

Of course I miss you guys but I am having a great time over here, fulfillin' some dreams I dreamed about and feeling extremely satisfied which is -in my opinion- granted after I've had to face a lot of mess in the past.  This is my year to recover and to work for my throne as Miss Independent ;-)
It is only a year and I will be back soon - you all know that! :)




So what has happened in the last days:

Tuesday:  Just the normal schedule; during my time-off I just hang out and talked to some friends. At night Annka picked me up and we went to New Roc City to see Saw VI. Have to admit that this one was fuckin' AWESOME. The Beginning was grippin' as hell! The story was good and the ending was ammaaaazing! I really recommend this one to you guys! :D

Wednesday: Omni-Time. Met up with Annka at the gym as always. Had some nice work out and I showed her some things I've learned at Kickboxing class. Normal schedule as always. Although I have to say the children had been so damn lovely that day. They really made me feel sooo good. At night they had Karate classes. We where a little too soon and kidded around in front of Karate school. One of the children's mother just thought I was their big sister 'cause I'd resemble them. Ah yeah, whatever. Afterwards I've had Kickboxing Class. 'was good! :)

Tuesday: Met up with Andrea who is new in this Area! Went to Starbucks and had a little talk. 'Cause she kinda had like her whole day-off she came with me to pick up the children at White Plains. Afterwards I dropped her off at hers. Just decided to go to the movies to see This Is It! Really want to see this one! :)

NYC avec Naddalie

Kurzer Eintrag auf Deutsch, bevor ich tot ins Bett falle und mir auch nur noch ein paar Stunden zum Schlafen bleiben.


Heute morgen bin ich mit den Kleinen und Hussein zum Belt Testing gefahren. War schön anzuschauen, muss ich sagen ;-) Nachher wurden mir natürlich mal wieder die neusten Anmach-Sprüche von Kyosan reingedrückt. Isabel hat sich schrott gelacht und meinte zu ihm, dass wenn er es auf Deutsch gebracht hätte, er sich auf jeden Fall ein paar fiese Sprüche hätte reinziehen müssen. That's the way it is ;-)


Noch bevor Hussein dann dran war, musste ich mich schon auf'n Weg zum Zug machen. Um 1h war ich nämlich mit "Naddalie" verabredet :-) Sind dann zuerst zum Nokia Music Theatre gelaufen und haben uns unsere Tickets fürs Ryan Leslie Konzert abgeholt. Anschließend sind wir dann in irgendsoein "Café",und  haben pinken Quark mit Müsli und frisch gepressten O-Saft verwöhnt. Saßen bestimmt 2-3 Stunden einfach nur da und haben ein wenig geschnackt während 10.000 Limos, schwarze Supermen und kleine Lockenköpfchen auf uns vor der Tür gewartet haben. hahaha. Ich mein hey, wir haben uns lange nicht mehr gesehen und immer wenn wir uns sehen, ist das in nem anderen Land ;-)


Mussten realtiv früh wieder aufbrechen, weil "Naddalie" (so nennen die Amis sie liebevoll, ich bin da im Übrigen immer die "Kathalina") heute Abend noch arbeiten musste. Ich bin dann aufm Weg noch in' H&M reingeschlendert und hab nach nem Oberteil für mein Halloween Kostüm geschaut und bin -natürlich- auch fündig geworden ;-) Wollte ja eigentlich Bloody Bride werden, aber das wird diesen Monat finanziell gesehen, einfach nicht möglich sein ;-)

Paranormal Acitivity & UFC

Just came back home from the movies.
"Paranormal Activity" was not as I thought it would be. The beginning was pretty lame and spinned out a lot. At the pretty end (I'd say in the last 10 minutes) everything went quickly. So actually it was not scary to me at all. Well, at least we had a lot of fun and I had to laugh all the time - therefore the money was not wasted ;-)
Would not recommend this one though!

Anyways I really want to see "Saw VI" and some other movies that were shown in the trailer.




I just watched UFC with Hussein on Television ;-)
He asked me whether I'd like to join classes once more and I think I really should do it. Would be great exercises to focus and to defend myself. Kiosa would be happy, too. hahaa. Anyways I don't think that I have to pay that much since the children participate in this school and therefore Hussein is able to take classes for free.

I think I will partake to drop off the children at Kiosa's tomorrow and afterwards I'm going to take the train to Manhattan to meet up with Nathalie. I really need to see her - it's been a long time! :-) Btw. we're going to get the tickets for the Ryan Leslie Concert in Nokia Music Theatre which takes place on 10/06/09 :)

first day with my normal schedule!

So today was my first day  with the normal schedule.
Got up at about 6.30h and started making breakfast for and with the kids at 6.50h. Started out to be a bit difficult in the first 20 minutes because the children were as "grumpy" as I was ;-). When we left the house at about 8 ò clock Hussein followed me with the car just to make sure that I kept goin' the right way and that I was feeling comfortable. But since I kept the way to White Plains in my mind everythin' will be doin' just fine :)

 Btw. when I dropped Yoni off in his classroom he jumped on me and gave me a kiss. His teachers were astonished.  :-)


Afterwards I went back to the car. I walked a few meters behind Hussein and when he already reached his car I pushed the horn-button on my key. hahahahah you guys can't imagine how astonished he was looking around. But well - I was not able to turn it off and therefore he was the person that laughed the most. Damnit! ;-)
You can see, we're having fun all the time ;-)

I actually wanted to trade on my free time but after about 6 granola bars I was so damn tired that I layed down in my bed and fell asleep for the next 3 and a half hours ;-)
When I got back in the car to pick up the children the sun was shining. 'was so beautiful. Therefore I turned the radio on (fav channel: Radio 97), turned up the volume and joined the Highway singing as loud as I could. Amazing, hahhaha. :D

When we came back home there were only 2 1/2 h left to eat a little lunch snack, doin' homework and to prepare for Karate. Chaotic hours as you can imagine. But where the rubber hits the road I really can rely on the children. So in the last 15 minutes I prepared the dinner snacks for the children while the children ran 'round the house, tydin' up and changing clothes for Karate. A sight for the gods. Just like in the movies :-) I also directly found the way to Karate school without getting lost although I only practised the way once!
In the end we were before time and Mona and I could finish her homework during Yoni's Karate class.

Btw. on our way to Karate school they played a Ryan Leslie Mix of at least 10 songs on the radio. The children were dancing around and kept telling that his music's great. Coooool, huh? :D


When I left Karate school their teacher asked Isabel where Yoni is. She told him that I was on my way to carry him home. He then started smiling and said that he could understand Yoni since they have such a gorgeous AuPair now. hahahhahaha.
Btw. I drove the car with the stick shift back home. Funny trip... haha.


Since I slept so much today I have a lot to do tomorrow. So, when I dropped the children off I need to fill up the car (I'm scared as hell!! haha) then I need to find the drugstore and the tanning salon over here because a) I need to go there and b) to become accustomed to New Rochelle. I also need to do the laundry!

During my free time on  Wednesday I will meet up with AnnKathleen to sign in at the Gym and to work out!


All in all it was a busy day and will be a busy week. But guess what? I can do it ;-)
