Day #62. Pictures, pleasant and bad news

So, und dann hab ich endlich mal wieder etwas "typisch amerikanisches" für euch. Ich mein, die paar typisch amerikanischen Sachen, die ich hier erlebe/lerne, wie das am. Autofahren, die Art im Club abzugehen etc. konnte ich bisher ja leider nicht mit euch teilen ;-) Hier also mal ein typisches amerikanisches Gericht: S'MORES


Man kriegt eine Platte mit einem Feuerkesselchen, Marshmellows, Holzstäbchen, Kekse und Schokolade:

Die Marshmellows werden aufgespießt und überm Feuer 'geröstet'. - Derweil legt man sich auch schonmal die Kekse bereit und pappt n Stückchen Schocki drauf:

Wenn die Marshmallows dann soweit sind (sprich aussen a weng braun und innen flüssig), legt man die Marshmellows auf den Keks (Keks+Schoki) tut nochmal ein Stück Schoki und den zweiten Keks drauf. Das nennt man dann ein S'more  ("Some More!")

Gestern hatten wir endlich mal wieder Training und, obwohl es sau anstrengend war, hat's richtig Spaß gemacht. Ohne Spaß, hab endlich mal wieder nen Sport gefunden, der mir richtig Spaß macht. Besonders, wo ich jetzt auch anfange, mit meinem eigenen Equipment zu trainieren :)

Ansonsten gibt's nicht viel zu berichten. - Mich hat's erwischt und ich bin schön krank und fühl mich gar nicht wohl. Hals ein bisschen dick und Nase zu. Bin atm also von innen grün. haha, will zwar keiner Wissen. Aber so ist's nunmal. Bin also nur noch am Schlafen und am Tee trinken - und natürlich am Arbeiten. Wü. Hab grad zwei Std. gepennt, würd mich aber am liebsten direkt wieder hinlegen.. :(

Tag #41: things're 'bout to get better

I was pretty MIA the last few days that's why I didn't update. Sorry guys.
Though I really wanted to go to Wahington this weekend I put this idea right out of my mind 'cause I was not feeling well -  as you all know!

Well, B. did not answer H's mail and did not even call me back. How kind. When I left her a voicemail I said it's an emergency and that I'm about to get sick. But well. She does not care. When we were at that APMeeting she reproached me that she did not get a chance to talk to me and that she'd call me in the next days anyways. Here we go. I wonder whether she rides the gravy train. I'm sorry to say sth. like that, but she convys that impression.

Anyways A. (best friend of I. ) called me and gave me the number of a good doctor. I did not call him yet but I will to get a shot that I won't get sick.

At Thursday night we went out for dinner to Benny & Hannahs (???) a japanese restaurant where they cook right in front of you. Damn, the food was sooo freakin' awesome. Really need to go there again! :)

On Friday the children were off and we finished their homework for the weekend which was to pattern a huge turkey with things they're thankful for. There you go!

On Friday night we went to Bronxville to have dinner at Japanese Inn which is a sushi bar that belongs to a friend of H.

On Saturday Annka, MonMon and me went to White Plains to the Galleria Mall. I finally bought my new Overknees (of my dreams, hahhaha). Above all it was about MonMon 'cause I promised her to have a girls day. So we went to H&M and Toys 'r us so that Madame could spend her money ;-)
To finish  that day we went to Cold Stone ( I looooooooooooove it) and bought some Ice Cream and my beloved Oreo Milkshake! :)

For dinner we ordered some chinese food since it's G's last day over here. This afternoon he's gonna fly back to Egypt.


For the rest there is nothing else to tell you guys. I'm just sitting on my bed and watching the children playing SHOPPING  with my shoes, clothes, bags, jewelry, perfume and whatever I have in here. ooooh myyy gooosh ;-)

ah and I'm about to save some money to get me an iPod Touch :)

Day #37: little nightmares // Veterans Day

My  "bad headaches" turned out to be an emergent flu. I am not that sick right now (or at least I`ve never been sick that way) - I just have the badest headaches ever, feeling not well, sometimes I am pretty cold and my body just kinda hurst. Last night, when I was in bed, I was pretty grumpy which showed me that I might have high temperatures.

So today I cancelled workout (Annka was not supposed to come anyways) and just slept.

I was confined to keep pretty warm in bed that I can sweat out everything; to drink a lot and to take some paracetamol so that my temp. goes down.

Because I do not feel better I need to call B (area director) and find out about flu shots and stuff that I`ll be well soon.

Btw. lots of the children in school are sick and so. from school just called list night everybody´s parents to make sure that any child that doesn´t feel well or that has higher temperatures stay at home. Well I cannot. ;-)

When I got to school this morning M. just called attention to me by sayin`: Oh there´s a car right in the middle of the street. WTF is he doin` there?  I immediately slowed down, ´cause it was a police car and I was like ... just a little bit too fast. hum. When I was about to pick the children up from school I was just wondering why a dumbass idiot had to annoy the traffic by drivin that stupid. I sassy passed that car and by doing this I also innocently slowed down ´cause I realized that there were the letters Traffic Unit Police on that car. Shiiiiaaaat.

Since it is Veterans Day (all the Am. children had off today) there was a lot of police checking the street.

Although it`s seven thirty only now I really need to go to sleep that I´ll be well soon.
